Week 2 RB’s – Forte, McFadden, Norwood, or Moreno?

Posted by in NFL Week 2 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 7th, 2011 | Comment »

Question: Sit/Start: Week 2 RB’s – Forte, McFadden, Norwood, or Moreno?

I had Matt Forte and Darren McFadden starting week 1 and they both played poorly. Should I start Matt Forte vs. Pittsburgh this week and switch out Darren McFadden vs. Kansas City? Start Darius Norwood and Matte Forte perhaps? I don’t know.  What do you think? Thanks!

Answer:

There’s no question that you go with Forte and McFadden. McFadden is playing KC and should have a good game and you cant ever sit Matt Forte, especially with all of his touches in the passing game. I’m not sure you can ever sit McFadden for Norwood, that’s crazy talk! Run DMC is going to have a big season.…

Week 1 – WR – Steve Smith or Lee Evans?

Posted by in NFL Week 1 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 6th, 2011 | 1 Comment

Question: In week 1, do I go with Steve Smith or Lee Evans?

I need a WR to play this week in my FLEX positio nand since I have no good RBs on my bench I decided to start either Steve Smith (CAR) or Lee Evans (BAL).

I personally don’t see the Ravens offense doing too much against the Steelers D. For the Panthers, Steve Smith is good, but I don’t know if I can rely on Cam Newton in his first start as a rookie to get the ball to Steve Smith, albeit against a poor Cardinals D.  Just looking for some opinions.

Answer:

Go with Steve Smith. Believe me, Cam Newton will have an impressive year. Matt Ryan had a monster game in his NFL debut. I expect big things from Cam Newton. Yeah, he is a rookie QB and a terrible team, but Steve Smith is by far the best talent and I’m sure he’ll get his yards against the Cardinals. Evans, as you said, gets stuck with Pitt D and he may not even be able to put up any significant yardage.

Week 1 Start/Sit Advice – Cassel or McCoy, Colston or Marshall?

Posted by in NFL Week 1 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 6th, 2011 | Comment »

Question:

QB – Now that Peyton Manning is out, would you start Matt Cassel vs. BUF or Colt McCoy vs. CIN?  Matt Cassel has already said he will play despite rib injury.

WR: I have Marques Colston @ GB and Mike Wallace @ BA. Should I replace either one with Brandon Marshall vs. NE?

RB: Thomas Jones vs. BUF or Ryan Mathews vs. MIN

Answer

QB- I would go with Cold McCoy vs. Cincinnati just because Cinccinnati has a terrile defense and the threat of Peyton Hillis will not help.

WR- I would go with Marquest Colston vs. GB just because GB dosent have a great secondary.

RB- Ryan Matthews vs. Minny just because he is there bona fide starter while at KC Thomas Jones is 2nd string for Jamaal Charles.…

Posted by in NFL Week 1 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 6th, 2011 | Comment »

Questions: Fantasy football week 1 start and sit?

I need to start 2 RBs and here are my choices:

Marion Barber @ TB
Steven Jackson @ SEA
Frank Gore @ ARI
Steve Slaton @ NYJ

Which two running backs should I start? This is a 12 team league. I think the other 11 team owners are first timers. The rest of my team is here.

QB: Kurt Warner and Matt Schaub
RB: Frank Gore, Steve Slaton, Steven Jackson and Marion Barber
WR: Calvin Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Roy Williams and Donald Driver
TE: Dallas Clark and Jason Witten
K: Rob Bironas
DEF: Titans

Answer

Go with Steven Jackson and Frank Gore. Not only are they your best players but they are facing weak defenses.…

Fantasy Week 1 – Chris Johnson or Ray Rice?

Posted by in NFL Week 1 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 6th, 2011 | Comment »

Question: Fantasy Week 1 Sit Vs. Start, Chris Johnson or Ray Rice?

Chris Johnson is my first-round pick, but he is playing against the best run defense in the league in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ray Rice plays Kansas City and will most likely get the most of the carries, but my concern is that he shares carries with a couple other running backs. Who do you think I should start?

Answer:

Obviously Johnson. This is a NO BRAINER. Go with Johnson and you will not be sorry. GOOD LUCK!!…
