Week 15 – FLEX – Steve Smith, Mike Wallace, or Laurent Robinson?

Posted by in NFL Week 15 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on December 3rd, 2011 | 2 Comments

Question: Week 15: Start/Sit advice Fantasy Football (FLEX)?

I need 2 WR this week, so who would you start out of this lineup?

Steve Smith @ HOU
Mike Wallace @ SF
Laurent Robinson @ TB
Devin Thomas vs. NE

Best answer:

You always have to go with your studs and your studs are Steve Smith and Mike Wallace. Thomas is hit or miss. Laurent Robinson is tempting, but you gotta live and die with your best players. Laurent Robinson had a great game last week against the Giants and he’s stepped up for the injured Miles Austin.  I assume this is the playoffs. Tough luck that Wallace is up against the stingy 49ers defense and Ben Roethlisberger is banged up.

Contrary to going with your studs…go with who is hot. Robinson has to be one of the hottest receivers right now and they are playing a dismal defense in Tampa Bay. Carolina and Houston will be trading points, so Smith would be my next pick. Wallace will get a decent amount of targets, but look for the 49ers D to be pesky. This is a proving game for them.
