Reggie Wayne

Week 4 Sit/Start Question?

Posted by in NFL Week 4 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 27th, 2011 | Comment »

Question: Who do I play in week 4?

RB: (Start 1-2): Pierre Thomas vs. NYJ, Ray Rice @ NE, Glen Coffee vs. STL

WR: (Start 3-4): Reggie Wayne vs. SEA, Chad Johnson @ CLE , Donald Driver @ MIN, Vincent Jackson @ PIT

I was thinking I will start:

RB: Thomas and Coffee
WR: Wayne, Ochocinco, and Driver

I don’t want to sit Vincent Jackson, but I hate his match up @ Pittsburgh. I could put him in the roster in place of Coffee, who I picked up since I picked him up on waivers since he should tear up Seattle with Frank Fore being limited in action.

Answer:

Start Pierre Thomas and Glen Coffee. St. Louis’ run defense is pathetic and the Saints will put up big numbers.

At wide receiver, I would start Reggie Wayne, Ochocinco, and Vincent Jackson, even though he’s playing against Pittsburgh. You have to play your best players regardless of their matchup. I don’t think Pittburgh’s defense is too overwhelming right now, especially with Polamalu out. The Chargers offense is too strong at this point to bench him.

You have a phenomincal receiving corp.

Week 1: Sit or Start. Gore, Jackson, Barber, or Slaton? Pick 2

Posted by in NFL Week 1 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on September 6th, 2011 | Comment »

Questions: Fantasy football week 1 start and sit?

I need to start 2 RBs and here are my choices:

Marion Barber @ TB
Steven Jackson @ SEA
Frank Gore @ ARI
Steve Slaton @ NYJ

Which two running backs should I start? This is a 12 team league. I think the other 11 team owners are first timers. The rest of my team is here.

QB: Kurt Warner and Matt Schaub
RB: Frank Gore, Steve Slaton, Steven Jackson and Marion Barber
WR: Calvin Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Roy Williams and Donald Driver
TE: Dallas Clark and Jason Witten
K: Rob Bironas
DEF: Titans

Answer

Go with Steven Jackson and Frank Gore. Not only are they your best players but they are facing weak defenses.…

Week 6 – WR – Mike Wallace or Eddie Royal?

Posted by in NFL Week 6 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on October 16th, 2010 | Comment »

Question: Which WR would you go with in Week 6?

I have the following wide receivers:

Reggie Wayne (@ WASH)
Randy Moss (vs. DAL)
Mike Wallace (vs. CLE)
Eddie Royal (vs. NYJ)
Brandon Tate (vs. BAL)

I’m in a 10 team league and have 4-1 record.

Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss pretty much are must start right now for me, unless you convince me otherwise.

My WR3 option is where I need help. With Denver playing the Jets, it should open up the slot for Royal much like it opened it up for Harvin. It would leave Lloyd covered deep and Revis potentially out. Wallace is getting Big Ben back and playing a poor Cleveland Team. Wallace is poised to see the biggest upside with Big Ben coming back. Tate is supposed to be featured a lot more with Moss exiting to Minnesota. But the addition of Dion Branch is a little concerning.

Answer:

Eddie Royal should get a lot of looks with Brandon Lloyd being covered by Cromartie and Mike Wallace should become productive again with Big Ben back. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. However, I would go with Mike Wallace since Cleveland’s defense is a complete joke.
