SMART BET PICKS IN REVIEW
Posted by Brandon Phillips in College Football Picks on October 19th, 2009 | 6 CommentsWe finished the week still up 4.6 units overall. Giving us 2 straight profitable weeks. Not bad for a free service.
My top picks were flat awful, no excuses, neither had a chance at all. That is gambling, sometimes even when all the numbers add up you still end up on the wrong side of things.
Week 8 is already upon us with games beginning on Wednesday, which I am already closely analyzing. There are also several other games I am looking at and will again be releasing on this site as early as possible so that you have the opportunity to get the best line available.
Thanks again for all the comments.

Date: Oct 19, 2009 at 4:12 pmI personally like the UNDER a lot and the Chargers. However, I do not bet the pro games very often. If I do I usually win, but I only make actual bets on the NFL very rarely.
Good Luck.

Date: Oct 19, 2009 at 5:01 pmI like the Chargers as a play against Denver. I see this a perfect let down spot for the Broncos. They are coming off 2 dramatic wins at home and now have to go on the road to face a tough conference opponent. Playing on the road in conference is much different then playing at home. I see a final score of 27 – 10 Chargers.

Date: Oct 19, 2009 at 11:10 pmSorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner. I hope you ended up taking the Broncos. The game wasn’t very high on my list as a good game to take since its the Chargers at home on Monday Night, but I did know one thing: THE BRONCOS DEFENSE IS THE REAL DEAL.
Wow is their D good. I thought the Chargers would win by a field goal, which you probably saw in my predictions. I literally thought the Broncos would cover by a half-point since I was expecting their defense to keep them in the game, but I did not see this beating coming.
Although the total was over, everyone would have thought that the under was the play with the Broncos D. You can’t forecast 2 returns by Eddie Royal and another by Darren Sproles. That’s 21 points in under 1 minute.
At least I hit the Sunday and Monday night games to get you back some of the Eagles/Steelers $$$.

Date: Oct 20, 2009 at 6:22 ami did end up taking the broncos but i parlayed it with the under so I missed. still feel pretty good about the pick though… like you said, 3 returns… who’d of thought.
anyway, def got killed this weekend but it was my own fault… after examining all my bets for the weekend I did great on straight ups but got a little carried away with some parlays. lesson learned.
pretty much even for the season.
brandons college picks look good… ready for the weekend to get back in there!
